Rip Curl is assembling its troops for the annual event of "Planet Day". The 180 employees from the Soorts-Hossegor site are going to spend the morning at the Capbreton Casino where they consider various topics to do with sustainable development. The aim of the morning is to go beyond the steps which have already been taken over the last few years. Efforts will mainly focus on reducing the carbon footprint, in particular with the launch of Rip Curl Europe’s business carbon footprint combining all the company’s working aspects.

The afternoon was given over to Ocean Initiatives alongside Surfrider Foundation Europe to clean up la Piste, la Pointe, and les Casernes beaches as well as the banks of the Etang Blanc (White Lake) in Les Landes / France. The National Forestry Office ran a workshop on dune maintenance at Les Casernes beach. Some people also visited the Capbreton waste treatment plant and the water treatment plant.

A valuable day for Rip Curl employees combining reflection and action with “Let’s Save our Surf!” as its theme.
